India To Upgrade Its Mirages To Mirage 2000-5 Mark 2 Standard

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has sent 2 of its Dassault Mirage 2000H/THs Vajra fighter jets to France for upgrading them to the Mirage 2000-5 Mark 2 standard. India has signed a deal to upgrade all 51 Mirage-2000H fighter jets at cost of USD 2.4 billion.

Under agreement, remaining 49 Mirages will be upgraded by the Indian aerospace giant, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Upgradation‎ package includes RDY multi-mode pulse Doppler radar, new glass cockpit, helmet-mounted displays, electronic warfare suite and advanced Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system.
