Haqqani’s Removal Adds Fuel to Memo Controversy

The resignation of the Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States, Husain Haqqani will add fuel to the memo scandal as Pakistani nation as whole is questioning the federal government's claim that ambassador had nothing to do with memo sent to the Adm. Mike Mullen, then the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States.

The President Asif Ali Zardari’s shaky administration will finding it hard to back their earlier claim that Husain Haqqani a very close friend of the president was in fact innocent in the issue of ‘memogate’ scandal and he was not authorized by the Asif Ali Zardari to send the memo which is considered by the majority of Pakistanis as an act of treason.
