Pakistan Takes Delivery of First Five Royal Jordanian F-16 fighter jets

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has received today its first batch of five Royal Jordanian F-16 fighter jets under a deal to purchase upto 13 F-16s fighter jets out.

First batch of Royal Jordanian F-16 AM/BM fighter jets arrived at the Mushaf Mir Airbase in Sargodha were inducted in the PAF fleet.  Pakistan Air Force will induct an other eight Jordanian fighter jets to increase the F-16 total to 76.  These fighter jets will serve PAF for another 20 years with almost 3,000 hours on average available to them for flying."

Pakistan Air Force Purchases 13 F-16 Fighter Jets From Jordan

Pakistan Air Force has acquired 13 F-16A/B block 15 aircraft Fighter jets from Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF). Pakistan will take the delivery of 12 F-16A and 1 F-16B fighter jets next month.

Turkish Havelsan To Develop New Pakistani Armed Force’s C4I

Turkey’s Havelsan software and systems integration firm has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Pakistan Armed Forces for the development, the Pakistan Armed Force’s C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence).

Turkish Havelsan will also develop simulators for the Pakistan Air Force's Sino-Pak JF-17 Thunder, F-16 C/D/MLU Fighting Falcon, C-130E Hercules, Mil Mi-17 and Super Mushak basic traniners.

Pakistan’s Military Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (MVRDE) is also all set to benefit from these agreements as Havelsan has developed a tank artillery simulator. Havelsan jas already delivered Artillery Forward Observer Simulators, an Electronic Warfare Test and Training Range and battle management and information systems.

Pakistan Air Force Can Counter India’s Cold Start Doctrine

Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman has said that the PAF has already updated its war fighting strategy to effectively counter Indian Cold War doctrine.

Indian Air Force has been given a central role in the new Indian  ‘Cold Start’ doctrine which calls for preemptive strikes against Pakistan in short time period to avoid diplomatic pressure from the world.

 Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman  said that PAF is control of the Shahbaz Air Base and Pakistan Air Force has purchased sufficient weapon systems to fulfill its requirements. He said, “We are in the process of consolidating the hardware procured so far.” .

Air Chief  also rejected the reports in media which questioned the capability of F-16 Block 52M fighter jets to intercept American drones and jets if they violated the country’s airspace.

He said,  “There is nothing which can prevent us from targeting or intercepting US fighter planes.”
 Rao Qamar Suleman told the media that Pakistan Air Force can intercept American drones and jets, if required and approved by the government, but at the same time air chief said that he wishes that such a situation should not arise.

Uzbeks Among 38 Taliban Militants killed in Pakistan Air Force Attacks

Targeted attacks by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets has resulted in the death of 38 hardcore militants in the Jogi area of central Kurram Agency.

The fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force were used to attack 3 hideouts of the Taliban commanders Mulla Toofan and Moeenuddin in the Jogi mountainous area of Kurram Agency,  Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) of Pakistan. This attack killed atleast 18 Taliban militants which included 6 Uzbek nationals.

Pakistani F-16C Block 52 Simulators To Be Upgraded With SimuSphere HD-9™ Visual Display

Two F-16C Block 52 aircrew trainiong simulators of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will be upgraded with the new SimuSphere HD-9™ visual displays by the L-3 Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link).

This upgrade will make PAF as the first export customer of the new SimuSphere HD-9™ visual displays which is also considered as a proven approach to Helmet Mounted Cueing System (HMCS) training.

The United States Air Force has awarded the contract for upgradation of the Pakistani F-16C Block 52 aircrew trainiong simulators to the L-3 Link Simulation & Training in Arlington.

PAF Orders AIDEWS Electronic Countermeasure System for Its F-16s

Pakistan Air Force has ordered Advanced Integrated Defensive Electronic Warfare System (AIDEWS) for the Pakistani Air Force F-16 C/D Block 52M and F-16 AM/BM.

Under this Foreign Military Sales contract worth $49 million ITT Corporation will provide a pod-variant version of the AIDEWS.
