PAF Minhas Airbase / Kamra Air Base Under Attack




    Pakistani News Channels are reporting that PAF Minhas Airbase / Kamra Air Base has come under attack from a terrorist group and exchange of firing started at around 2:30 and is continuing till 4:00 AM.

    Terrorists are using automatic rifles and hand grenades against the security forces. Pakistan Army is also sending its rescue and Special Operation Force teams are towards the base.

    Terrorists have been stopped at their current position and security forces are fighting had to subdue them. Unconfirmed news suggest that terrorists are wearing the uniforms of the Pakistan Air Force.

    Over 30 aircrafts including JF-17 Thunder fighter jets are present at the airbase.

    The Tribune Newspaper had already reported few days back that according to intelligence reports of the Home Department, Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is planning attacks on the PAF Air Base and other military facilities .

    This is the third attack on the PAF Minhas Airbase / Kamra Air Base by the terrorists.


      Pakistani PAF Mirage Fighter Jet Crashes in Bhakkar

      A Mirage-V fighter jet of the Pakistan Air Force has crashed during a routine operational training mission in Bhakkar, Punjab.

      Fighter pilot of the Mirage fighter jet was able to eject safely from his aircraft and so far there is no reports of any loss of civilian life or property on ground.

      Pakistan Air Force is looking to replace its aged Mirage fighter jets with JF-17 Thunder fighter jets.

      COAS General Kayani Attends War Games of Gujranwala Corps

      Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani visited Gujranwala, last night, to attend the concluding session of Gujranwala Corps War Games. The War Games being conducted at various Corps Headquarters are part of the Azm-e-Nau series exercises. 

      This year’s Azm-e-Nau series started with the Central Command War Games in May, which comprised multiple planning and conduct sessions attended by senior Army and PAF officers. The process will continue, at other Command and Corps Headquarters, to review and validate operational plans in the light of current threat spectrum. 

       Later, COAS visited Army Marksmen Unit at Jhelum, a newly raised organization aimed at ensuring that basic shooting skills in the Army are not only maintained, but improved in a scientific and progressive manner. Earlier, on arrival, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif, Commander Gujranwala Corps.

      Pakistani Mushak Traning Aircraft Crash Lands

      A Mushak training aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed in Trangzai area of Charsadda District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Monday. 

       The Mushak aircraft was partially damaged while making the emergency landing, however, the trainee pilot and instructors remained safe, the PAF officials added.

       The air force’s spokesman in a statement said that the aircraft made emergency landing due to some technical fault and both the pilots remained safe. Police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area
